Project Supervisor

Job Summary & Descriptions :

The Project Supervisor will oversee on-site operations, ensuring construction activities are executed according to schedule, budget, and quality standards. You will lead site teams, coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Site Supervision :
   • Oversee daily site operations, ensuring work is carried out according to the project plan and specifications.
   • Monitor construction progress and address any on-site issues promptly.
   • Ensure that all materials and workmanship meet the required quality standards.
2. Coordination and Communication :
   • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth operations.
   • Conduct regular site meetings to update stakeholders on project progress and address concerns.
   • Liaise with consultants and inspectors to ensure compliance with project and regulatory requirements.
3. Workforce Management :
   • Assign tasks to site workers and ensure proper allocation of resources.
   • Supervise and motivate site teams, ensuring high productivity and adherence to timelines.
   • Resolve on-site conflicts and provide technical guidance to workers.
4. Safety and Compliance :
   • Enforce workplace safety and health regulations in line with Singapore’s Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Act.
   • Conduct regular site safety inspections and rectify any hazards or non-compliance issues.
   • Ensure all personnel use appropriate safety equipment and adhere to safety protocols.
5. Documentation and Reporting :
   • Maintain accurate records of site activities, including attendance, progress reports, and incident logs.
   • Provide regular updates to the project manager on milestones, delays, or challenges.
   • Ensure all project documents, including drawings and permits, are kept up-to-date and readily accessible.
6. Quality Control :
   • Perform inspections to ensure completed work aligns with project specifications and standards.
   • Address any defects or non-compliance issues promptly to maintain quality control.

Requirements :

• Diploma or NITEC in Building Construction, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3-5 years of site supervision experience in construction or A&A projects in Singapore.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and Singapore’s building regulations.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings and technical specifications.
• Ability to lead teams, resolve conflicts, and make critical decisions on-site.
• Familiarity with safety standards and practices under the WSH Act.
• Basic knowledge of project management tools and Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Attributes :

• Experience in managing commercial or industrial projects.
• Certification in safety supervision (e.g., BCSS or SSSC).
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities.
